Shanley's moonlit sky serves as a thematic backdrop to these whimsical, humorous and provocative vignettes selected from his two collections of short plays. With comedy as his vehicle, Shanley explores the need for love and meaningful human connection in our lives. He does so largely through light satire, sometimes by way of parody or melodrama, and frequently using touches of absurdism. In all eight plays, comedy and "moon madness" prevail. Directed by Katherine McLennan
