SubscriBER FAQs

As we anticipate our return to live performance, we’re receiving questions about COVID protocol and safety. More details are forthcoming but feel free to browse this page for the latest news.

If you still have questions, please contact our Box Office at 204 942 6537 or boxoffice@royalmtc.ca. We also have a general list of Frequently Asked Questions that might interest you.

DO I HAVE TO BE VACCINATED TO ATTEND THE THEATRE?

Royal MTC will be requiring that all staff, volunteers and audience members working at or attending our production of Orlando (Nov 24 – Dec 18) to provide proof of vaccination. Details about this process will be shared in late September. Information for patrons who are unable to get vaccinated for human rights-based reasons will also be available at that time. Currently, this vaccination mandate is for Orlando only and no decision has been made about future productions.

WILL AUDIENCE MEMBERS BE REQUIRED TO WEAR A MASK WHEN ATTENDING ROYAL MTC?

A decision on mask requirements when attending Orlando has not yet been made and will be determined in late September.

ARE YOU SELLING SINGLE TICKETS FOR ORLANDO TO VACCINATED PATRONS?

We are not selling single tickets yet. As the picture becomes clearer about seating capacity, we’ll have more information about single tickets.

Will there be new safety protocols being implemented?

We are diligently planning a safe return to live performance. We will always meet  public health orders. Protocols are still being finalized and will be communicated with patrons in early fall.

Why don’t I get to keep my regular subscription seats?

We are currently planning for socially distanced audiences. As a result, seating will be limited and we cannot guarantee your regular seats.

How are you seating subscribers?

We will contact you approximately eight weeks before each performance to finalize your seating. If public health orders permit, we'll look at increasing capacity over time. Seating will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis.

What happens if I renew and the season gets cancelled?

While we're extremely hopeful about our return to live performance, things are constantly changing in the world. If the season is cancelled, our subscribers can expect communications with several different options.

Can I wait to decide or take a season off?

We understand your decision to wait, and we’ll be here when you’re ready to return. Your regular subscription seats are being held, and as a loyal subscriber, you'll continue to receive a discount on any single tickets you purchase for the 21/22 season. More information about single tickets will come at a later date.
