CoVID-19 update

Last updated: March 27, 2020

Q. Are you still presenting shows this season?

Unfortunately, no. In the interests of public health, we’ve had to cancel the remainder of our 19/20 season, including A Thousand Splendid Suns, The Legend of Georgia McBride and our fundraising production of Picasso at the Lapin Agile (also known as the Lawyers Play).

Q. What if I have tickets to one or more of these shows?

We’re contacting ticket holders for the Lawyers Play directly. If you have tickets for The Legend of Georgia McBride and/or A Thousand Splendid Suns, you can explore your options by clicking one of the links below. Alternatively, the Box Office will contact you to make arrangements. Please note that our Box Office is extremely busy processing orders and your patience is greatly appreciated.

Q. Is there going to be a Fringe Festival this summer?

It’s our great hope that our annual celebration of independent theatre will go ahead as planned. But a lot depends on travel restrictions and limitations on public gatherings. Stay tuned for updates as we monitor this evolving situation.

Q. Is there anything I can do to help?

These are really challenging times for the arts and culture community, as well as for many others. One great way to help is to buy or renew your subscription for next season! If you’re a current subscriber or ticket holder, consider donating the value of your cancelled ticket for a tax receipt instead of a refund.

And, of course, donations are always gratefully accepted. Every bit helps more than you know!

Q. What about the 20/21 season?

We’re confident the curtain will rise again and we’re working hard to make that happen. We’re busily processing subscriber renewals and will continue to do so. We hope you’ll join us for Artistic Director Kelly Thornton’s first season of programming.

Q. I’m not sure you answered all my questions. Can we talk?

Of course, we'd love to hear from you. Just contact our Box Office at 204 942 6537 or If one of our friendly staff members can’t help you, they’ll find someone who can.

We thank all our patrons for the passion and support you continue to show our theatre. We're reminded daily of the importance of connection – the connection we experience when we make great art together. We miss you and we’ll weather this storm together.
