Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre! Volunteers support every performance and are crucial to the success of the theatre. Our volunteers come from many backgrounds but share a common passion for theatre and MTC’s mission. If you're interesting in volunteering, we welcome you to apply. We're always on the lookout for enthusiastic and reliable individuals who want to play an active role in Winnipeg’s theatre community.

Please read about MTC’s story and our Commitment to Action; an Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-Racism plan to ensure you are aligned with our values. In keeping with our commitment to better represent the diversity of our city, we encourage applications from folks who are 16+ from the BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Colour) communities as well as members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community.

Volunteers are valued community ambassadors and most often assist with Front of House duties before, during and after performances which include: scanning tickets, handing out programs, helping patrons to their seats and light tidying. Volunteers also get to watch the show during their shift, while keeping an eye out for any disturbance in the theatre that staff should know about.

Our Volunteers are acknowledged for all they contribute with invitations to attend dress rehearsals and an opportunity to work alongside other like-minded theatre enthusiasts.

If this sounds like a good fit for you, please get in touch. For more information and to apply, contact Janice Marple, Volunteer Manager, at or 204 956 1340 ext. 571.
