This year’s tour of Murder for Two performed in 20 communities to 3,045 enthusiastic audience members. This poignant, involving play takes a simple love story between ordinary people and transforms it into something quite wonderful.” – Edmonton Sun This Canadian romantic comedy is about two lonely single parents who meet and fall in love while watching their kids play a season of minor hockey. Hockey Mom, Hockey Dad was first produced in 1999 by Two Planks and a Passion Theatre Company on tour throughout Nova Scotia. The Toronto premiere was produced by Factory Theatre in 2003. “You’re mistaken. I’m not holdin’ your hand. I’m holdin’ my mitt. Your hand just happens to be in it.” About the playwright Michael Melski is an award-winning playwright and filmmaker whose works for the stage have been published and produced across Canada. His Merritt and Dora-nominated Hockey Mom, Hockey Dad was a hit at Toronto’s Factory Theatre, named one of the Top Ten Plays of The Year by the Toronto Star, has toured Canada twice, and received over 40 professional productions, including several in the United States.
