Scholarship Program

Applications for the Jean Murray–Moray Sinclair Theatre Scholarship Program are now available for full-time students attending accredited theatre schools or university theatre programs who intend to pursue a career in theatre. Deadline is Friday April 9, 2021. Download the full package here.

Information about Royal MTC’s Apprentice & Assistant Programs for professional development will be forthcoming in May 2021.

Traditionally, our scholarship fund is supported by generous patrons through a ‘pass the hat’ at one Mainstage production. While we've been unable to hold any in-person productions this season, thanks to the vision of Dr. Douglas MacEwan and his Walk for the Arts initiative, we're still able to offer scholarships to theatre students this season. We are deeply grateful to Dr. MacEwan and the many donors who contributed to his Walk for the Arts.

Additional scholarship donations this season were also made in tribute to actor, theatre educator and mentor Nancy Drake, who passed away in the fall of 2020. Her passion for theatre education lives on thanks to the generosity of her friends and family.
