Applications are open for programs under the Jean Murray-Moray Sinclair fund. Full-time theatre students can apply for scholarships. Apprenticeships are paid job-shadowing experiences, and assistants make a tangible creative contribution to an MTC production. The deadline for all applications is April 5, 2026. Jean Murray and Moray Sinclair were influential Manitoban actors who were instrumental in MTC’s early development and leaders in Winnipeg’s theatre community. The original mandate of MTC included education, and so since 1964, donations have been collected in their names to fund scholarships. Over the years, this purview has expanded to experiential learning through apprenticeships and assistant positions.
