The Master Playwright Festival has taken its final bow after a successful 20-year run. Starting with BeckettFest in 2001, our theatrical odyssey has taken us through the years and around the globe in celebration of 20 noteworthy playwrights, ending with William Shakespeare.
Our community partners in this venture were enthusiastic, adventurous and innovative. We thank and applaud the artists, audiences and supporters who wholeheartedly immersed themselves in the work of these groundbreaking playwrights. "The Master Playwright Festival presented a wonderful opportunity for artists to share their love of the written word with audiences. In turn, festival-goers enthusiastically embraced the excellent work on stage.
