The Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre John Hirsch Mainstage is a National Historic site recognized for its contribution to Canadian theatre and for its unique Brutalist architecture. Facility tours provide a look behind the scenes at Royal MTC to gain a unique perspective on how we produce the plays you see on stage. Tours may visit the carpentry shop, wardrobe, props department, and more!

We welcome all community members, but our heritage building was unfortunately not designed for accessibility of mobility devices in all areas. We can accommodate by taking alternate paths but please let us know in advance!

In 2023/24, tours will begin between 10/10:30am and 1:30/2pm. We can adjust the tour length or focus to suit your needs.
Upcoming tours will be held on:
Thu Feb 22
Fri Mar 1
Thu Mar 28
Fri Apr 5
Thu May 2
Fri May 10 - afternoon only available

All tour participants must wear a face mask to help keep our production teams healthy. If you are ill, we ask that you not attend.
