FACILITY TOURS

The Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre John Hirsch Mainstage is a National Historic site recognized for its contribution to Canadian theatre and for its unique Brutalist architecture. Facility tours provide a look behind the scenes at Royal MTC to gain a unique perspective on how we produce the plays you see on stage. Tours may visit the carpentry shop, wardrobe, props department, and more!

We welcome all community members, but our heritage building was unfortunately not designed for accessibility of mobility devices in all areas. We can accommodate by taking alternate paths on certain days, but please let us know in advance!

In 2025/26, tours will begin between 10/10:30am and 1:30/2pm. We can adjust the tour length or focus to suit your needs.
Upcoming tours will be held on:
Thu Oct 23
Fri Oct 31
Thu Dec 4
Fri Dec 12
Thu Jan 22
Fri Jan 30
Thu Feb 26
Fri Mar 6
Thu Apr 2
Fri Apr 10

All tour participants must wear close-toed shoes, and a face mask to help keep our production teams healthy. If you are ill, we ask that you not attend.

To book a tour for a school or educational group, please contact Ksenia Broda-Milian, Education & Community Engagement Manager at 204 954 6413  or kbrodamilian@royalmtc.ca
